Wilson Lodge is a registered, purpose-built Care Home with 24-hour nursing care for 36 adults over 30 years of age, who have long-term care needs associated with enduring functional mental illness.
Wilson Lodge is owned and run by Wilson Care Resources Ltd.
Kerry Marks is the registered Manager and John Wilson and Nic Hunt the Directors.
Our Services
Wilson Lodge is a registered care home with nursing for people with long-term mental health conditions and/or learning difficulties. The Home is located close to Moseley Village with excellent public transport links to Birmingham City Centre and Kings Heath. At Wilson Lodge we aim to provide a safe, secure, therapeutic and homely environment for people who have long term mental health needs which make it difficult for them to live independently in the community. Our primary objective is to ensure that we encourage and support all residents to achieve their maximum potential, with a happy balance between a satisfying lifestyle, individual capabilities, wishes and the individual’s safety. Wilson Lodge has two large enclosed, sunny gardens with various seating arrangements, a smoking area and sheltered pavilion. The gardens are kept to a high standard and snacks and drinks are served outside in summer or warm days.
Wilson Lodge has a Registered Manager in position and always has Registered Nurse/s on duty. The care support staff at Wilson Lodge are all highly experienced individuals. All care support staff have or are working towards NVQ Levels 2 or 3 in care. Wilson Lodge prides itself on investing in its staff by encouraging and promoting continued learning and development.
Each of our 36 bedroom is expertly maintained and individually decorated to the highest standard and to our resident’s preferences. There is extensive choice in bedrooms and residents are welcome to bring along their own small pieces of furniture and personal items to make their bedrooms feel more familiar and to ease the transition of the move to their new home.
We have two well-furnished lounges for residents to relax and watch TV, as well as an activities room well stocked with arts material and games that doubles as a cinema room where residents can enjoy a wide variety of films multiple times a week.
Our menus change regularly, engaging with our residents to create menus they will enjoy every day using quality local produce cooked up by our excellent kitchen team. We will always be happy to accommodate dietary requirements no matter how unusual, and our kitchen staff are highly skilled at making sure everyone enjoys their meals.
